Mr. Hernandez is a versatile individual. He graduated with honours from both triOS College, Mississauga Campus and CDI College, North York Campus, as Paralegal and Immigration Consultant, respectively, in 2020. His former studies and background are in the Information Technology area. He attained his IT diploma at Humber College back in 1980 and developed a career in IT that lasted 26 years.

He plateued at the position of IT Senior Programmer Analyst before his employer succumbed to the onslaught of the digital age and the social networks which greatly affected the printed social expression industry – greeting cards and the like. Yes, you guessed it… His employer was Hallmark Cards Canada. Carlton Industries – Hallmark’s greatest competitor at the time - had closed shop in Canada a couple of years prior for the same reason.

Going back to his arrival in Canada, back in 1972, he already had attained a good level of basic English, which he polished along the 50 years of his stay here. In his high school years back in Ecuador, his native country, he befriended every foreigner who came to town who spoke English. He developed a symbiotic relationship where he would learn from interacting with the visitor, in English, while the latter would benefit from a free tourist guide.

He benefitted from his elder brothers and sisters who favoured English pop music over local pop and would 'sing' along Paul Anka, The Beatles, Pat Boone, Gene Autry, Sinatra and many others, listening to the stereo at home where they would play the latest LPs coming from the USA.

Once in Canada he became the defacto translator and interpreter for his fellow country men, and later on most Latinos who flooded Canada's airports. He assisted them with their immigration applications, interpreted for them at hearings or run ins with the police, and anything that had to do with the English language, which his 'pro bono clients' at the time lacked.

Back to more recent events, in Canada, upon being ‘restructured’ out of his IT job Mr. Hernandez faced an important question: What would he do to earn a living? What was he good at that would allow him that? The answer was easy... He started his own successful Spanish language services business by the name of Be-Clear Language Services in 2007 and became a professional Spanish language Court Interpreter accredited by the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario – MAGO. He also is a prolific translator. One may say he is a rolling stone, always on the move. He just built this website by himself, even after 16 years of having left the IT profession.

He has worked as a freelance interpreter and translator for several major language services agencies in the GTA for over thirteen years as well as for the MAGO. His exposure during this time to the provincial court’s environment gave him the opportunity to learn many things about our legal system, reason why he decided to pursue a more active role in it. Thus, he became a Paralegal!
Witnessing the tribulations Hispanics and other non-Canadians were subjected to in the work place and in the courts, for the simple reason of not being aware of their rights, he made it a goal to also help this segment of the population in their immigration and citizenship affairs, hoping to help them achieve permanent residency in Canada or even attain citizenship. Thus, he became a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant!

As of August of 2020, a Paralegal can apply to and become a Notary Public in and for the Province of Ontario, and is appointed for a lifetime by the MAGO. He was appointed Notary Public by the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario as of July 2021 and has attended professional development seminars in order to learn about this noble practice and put those teachings in practice.

Should you find yourself in a compromising migratory, citizenship, or legal situation, or in need of notarizing documents or affidavits, please call him for a brief free consultation.
